Denzel Washington once said, “Show me a successful individual, and I will show you someone who had real positive influence in his or her life.” Yes, mentorship is crucial for every person. Mentorship acts as a catalyst for accomplishment and growth. Any form of mentorship be it spiritual, professional or personal plays a huge role to the mentees as it offers wise guidance, hope, support, encouragement, and it brings about realization to the mentee.

We have established that our children are the future. However, what do you think will happen if these children decide to succumb to crime or drugs? It will definitely lead to self-destruction; hence it is our responsibility as adults to shape the future by shaping our children. We can achieve this through mentorship. Have in mind that through mentorship, we offer positive development that results in improvement in school attendance, academic performance and attitude towards life.

We should always let these children know that we believe in them. Mentorship helps to unleash the potential of a child which can change the life choices of a child. Although, a mentor can not change how fast the brain of a child develops, mentors are able to share experiences, knowledge and advice that can positively transform the life of a child. Hence mentorship is crucial to every child for them to achieve success.

Volunteer today to mentor a child.
